Terms and Conditions
Please note that everyone is asked to read the Terms and Conditions, specifically the cancellation policy upon signing up for a workshop. Thank you.
COVID-19 Update: If a workshop date is impacted by restrictions due to the virus, your payment is 100% transferable to a future workshop. Any individual cancellations due to the virus will be handled on a case-by-case basis. We are not able to offer refunds on deposits at any time; or payments made within the 45 day period. For all other cancellations the following applies:
All deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to another available workshop up to 45 days prior. (see cancelation policy below) The deposit amount specified with each workshop is due at the time you book a workshop. Your space is not reserved until we receive your deposit. The full balance is due 45 days prior (or on the date specified on the workshop page) to the start of the workshop. If we do not receive your balance by this time, we reserve the right to cancel your workshop and/or fill your spot off of a wait list. In the event of such a cancellation, no refunds will be provided.
CANCELLATION, REFUND & DELAY POLICY
If you cancel your workshop the following applies: If cancellation is received at least 45 days prior to the start of the workshop, the deposit can be applied to one workshop of your choice with available space. You will sign-up for the new workshop as normal by paying the deposit and your transfer amount will be applied to the remaining balance. If you need to cancel a second time prior to the 45 day period, the first deposit will be forfeited and the new deposit will be transferable. For cancellations received 0-44 days prior to the start of the workshop, all deposits and workshop fee’s will be forfeited.
No refunds will be given for delays or cancellations due to inclement weather, flights, heath pandemics, natural disasters, civil unrest or other events beyond our control, either before, during, or after your workshop. We are not responsible for any additional costs you may incur due to delays or cancellations.
All workshop schedules and plans are subject to change at our discretion depending upon weather, health and safety considerations, or any other factor related or unrelated to photographic opportunities as we see fit. Photography Workshops of Utah and Ken Spurgin is not responsible for any other costs which participants may have incurred, including but not limited to travel, car rental, lodging, insurance, photographic purchases and/or rentals. Full refunds of all monies paid will be made if a workshop is canceled by us.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISKS
In consideration of the services of Photography Workshops of Utah, their officers, agents, employees, and stockholders, and all other entities associated with those businesses hereinafter collectively referred to as “Photography Workshops of Utah”, I agree as follows:
Although Photography Workshops of Utah has taken reasonable steps to provide me with appropriate equipment and skilled guides so I can enjoy an activity for which I may not be skilled, Photography Workshops of Utah has informed me this activity is not without risk. Certain risks are inherent in each activity and cannot be eliminated without destroying the unique character of the activity.
These inherent risks are some of the same elements that contribute to the unique character of this activity and can be the cause of loss or damage to my equipment, or accidental injury, illness, or in extreme cases, permanent trauma or death. Photography Workshops of Utah does not want to frighten me or reduce my enthusiasm of this activity, but believes it is important for me to know in advance what to expect and to be informed of the inherent risks. The following describes some, but not all, of those risks.
I am aware that Photography Workshops of Utah entails risks of injury or death to any participant. I understand the description of these inherent risks is not complete and that other unknown or unanticipated inherent risks may result in injury or death. I agree to assume and accept full responsibility for the inherent risks identified herein and those inherent risks not specifically identified. My participation in this activity is purely voluntary, no one is forcing me to participate, and I elect to participate in spite of and with full knowledge of the inherent risks.
I acknowledge that engaging in this activity may require a degree of skill and knowledge different than other activities and that I have responsibilities as a participant. I acknowledge that the staff of Photography Workshops of Utah has been available to more fully explain to me the nature and physical demands of this activity and the inherent risks, hazards, and dangers associated with this activity.
When filling out our contact form or purchasing a ticket from us, your information is collected.
What your information is used for:
This information is used exclusively to contact you regarding the services you have purchased in the event we need further information from you or to update you on the status of this service. Your information is not stored within a database, nor is it sold/traded/seen at all by any other businesses or individuals. Payment information is not kept in our system in any way.
Our website also features Google AdWords Remarketing. Google AdWords Remarketing keeps track of everyone who visits our website and follows these users wherever they go on other websites to show them our ads. This is done by Google keeping track of your browser cookies.
