Itinerary:

  • Day 1: Friday We will meet at 3pm . We can pick you up at your Tooele hotel and carpool out to the desert floor if requested. During the ride out to the desert, we will discuss safety information, shooting technique, camera settings and discuss the following days itinerary. We then locate the herd and photograph during sunset. Returning you back to your Tooele hotel just after dark.

  • Day 2: Saturday After an early wake up call, we head out to the desert floor to locate one of the herds (North or South) During the morning light we will locate and photograph the horses. Usually the animals are active and on the move for water. Once the light becomes too harsh, (mid-day) we head back into town for lunch, discussions and critique some images. We then break for a few hours where you can rest, explore the surrounding areas, etc… That evening after dinner, we once again head out to the desert floor, locate the herds and photograph until dark. Once again you will be delivered back to your Tooele hotel after dark.

  • Day 3: Sunday We get up early, grab a quick breakfast, and head back out to the desert floor for sunrise and our final shoot. We will remain on the desert floor until about 10 am, we then return back to your hotel. Hotel check out is 11am. This will conclude the workshop.
