Adventure Tour Packing List

This is NOT meant to be a complete or exhaustive list. Instead, use it as a helpful guide to ensure you have everything you need for your specific Adventure Workshop. Before packing, take a moment to consider which workshop you’re planning for and then refer to the list below to help "remember" and organize your essential gear and supplies. Each workshop may have different requirements, so be sure to tailor your checklist accordingly for the best experience!

Packing List


  • Sturdy, Waterproof, Leather upper Hiking Boots or sturdy hiking shoes(Required)

  • Wool or Nylon “Hiking Socks”

  • Insulated, Waterproof Rain Jacket with Hood

  • Nylon, waterproof pants(water resistant will also work)

  • Nylon Gaiters (very helpful in deep snow and wet grass)

  • Thermal base layer.  Wool or Fleece insulating Layers

  • Toboggan / Buff(Neck Gaiter) (a face mask is recommended for extreme conditions below 20 deg.)

  • Insulated shooting Gloves(access to fingers is recommended)

  • Waterproof/Breathable Shell or Jacket.

  • Insulated jacket.  Down or Poly is best.

  • Warm hat or toboggan.

  • Full Coverage gloves with finger access

  • Full grain leather or equivalent, waterproof boots

  • Acrylic or Wool insulated socks

  • Neck gaiter or scarf

  • Neoprene face covering, or equivalent

  • Thermals, top and bottom, and a back up.

  • Walking stick(optional)

  • Hand Warmers (don’t forget these)

  • Allergy Medications/EPI Pens

  • Headlamp and a backup flashlight (Required)

  • Sunscreen, chapstick

  • Trail Snacks, Breakfast bars, etc..

  • 2 - 1 liter Waters in shatterproof Water Bottle, or equivalent

  • Strap for your Camera

  • Wide Angle Lens (17-35mm)

  • Mid Range zoom Lens (24-70mm)

  • Zoom Lens (70-200mm) 

  • Macro Lens - (Optional)

  • Battery and Charger (extra Batteries)

  • Memory Cards

  • Sturdy Tripod and Head (**Required**)

  • Cable/Trigger Release (Required)

  • Backpack (Comfy bag for camera gear, warm layer and rain gear) (Required)

  • Backpack Rain Cover 

  • Card Reader or USB Cable

  • Lens cleaners

  • Circular Polarizing Filter - you must have a polarizing filter

  • Neutral Density and ND Grad Filters. (.3 and .6) - optional but recommended

  • Laptop or equivalent if you wish to show photos (timing permited)
